Jun 3, 2012 — Amsterdam has an incredibly lively and vibrant character. By day, the city buzzes with people who swarm to the outdoor markets in the mornings before heading to the parks for long, sunny afternoons with friends on the open green.
Warm-weather weekends find the café terraces overflowing with beer-sipping patrons who settle in for hours of people-watching. In fact, often the only motive to grab the bill is when a friend boats by offering an afternoon of canal cruising with good company and a few bottles of wine.
By night, Amsterdam offers a number of clubs and bars, many of which are owned by young trendsetters whose colorful originality attracts an equally mod clientele. These venues thrive on artistic freedom, which is apparent in their funky music, stylishly urban décor, and clever theme and activity nights that keep the hip patrons coming back for more.
