Party Earth Review: Housed in a 17th-century building, Harry’s Bar is a sleek and simple Spuistraat bar consisting of three small floors, each with its own pleasing ambiance. The bar is located on the ground floor, an animated area great for people-watching. The second floor is a small perch above one end of the bar and provides a bird’s-eye view of the masterful drink making below. The third floor offers a lounge setting with leather couches and a view overlooking Spuistraat. Throughout, bold prints of French pop art add a dash of color to the dark wood accents, beams, and winding staircase. Of course, what the well-heeled clientele really comes for is the impressive cocktail menu, which includes a long list of classic martinis and inventive mixed drinks. A patient and professional bar staff in crisp white dinner jackets takes excellent care of the patrons, who lounge at tables and on sofas to enjoy their perfect concoctions amid a soothing, intimate buzz of conversation. ... read full review |

However, the Harry’s Bar in Amsterdam also provides a sophisticated cocktail experience – especially on the third floor, where guests can sink into one of the comfy leather sofas or lounge chairs and enjoy a view of the city’s old and beautiful Dutch architecture.”
